Altar Servers

The Junior Altar Servers are 7th or 8th grade parishioners, boys or girls, who assist the priests during our liturgical celebrations. Periodic training is held for new altar servers throughout the year and once trained they are assigned a rotating Mass schedule. Contact Fr. James Tucker at the Parish Office.

The Adult Altar Servers serve the worshipping community by assisting the presider at weekday and funeral masses. Contact Deacon Earle Connelly at the Parish Office.

Children’s Liturgy

The Liturgy of the Word for children is a celebration of God’s Word for young children to help them understand the Word of God from a lectionary designed especially for children. Each Sunday at the 10:30 AM Mass, children in Grades 1 through 5 are invited to another room during the Liturgy of the Word with a trained catechist. Children return to the main assembly to share in the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their families. Catechists are needed for this ministry. Contact Angela Connelly at the Parish Office.

Cross Bearer

The privilege of carrying the Cross to the altar at the beginning of the Mass is a simple, special and meaningful way to serve the Lord during the Mass. We need volunteers to carry out this ministry. Contact Deacon Earle Connelly at the Parish Office.

Day of Reflection for Eucharistic Ministers

On the Eve of Corpus Christi all Eucharistic Ministers gather in Church for a time of prayer and reflection.

Environmental Ministers

Volunteers work in cooperation with the Pastor and Liturgy Committee to plan and prepare the environment of the church based on the liturgical seasons. Contact Catherine and Nina Carabott.

Eucharistic Ministers

Responding to their baptismal call to Christ’s ministry, parishioners assist our priests in distributing the Holy Eucharist at weekday and weekend masses, bringing the Body of Christ to the sick and shut-ins at home, and to our local hospitals and nursing homes. Training is required. Contact Father James Tucker at the Parish Office.

Gift Bearers

The privilege of carrying the “Gifts” to the altar during the mass is a simple, special and meaningful way to serve the Lord during Mass. Volunteers are needed to carry out this new ministry.

Steward's Creed

I believe in the gifts of God, and feel gratitude for all I have been given.

These gifts are not mine to have, but mine to share.

When they are shared, my gifts will make a difference for others.

And I believe the act of giving is more important than the gift itself.

I will make giving a priority.

I will give to others because so much of what I have comes from others.

I will give of who I am, what I do, and what I have.

To my family, faith, and community, I will give myself.

As Christ gave so much for so many, so I will give to you.

And I will be thankful for the opportunity to give.
